A special community meeting was held today at Keowatkhali High School Road, Mymensingh, organized by Diganta Krira Chakra (Diganta Sports Club). The main agenda of the meeting was “Exchange of views between the Diganta Club family and local residents”, focusing on the club’s 32-year-long history, tradition, social welfare activities, and future development initiatives.

Highlights of the Meeting
The session was conducted by Vice-President Biplob Chandra Bormon and presided over by the Founder President Md. Mosharraf Hossain.
In his speech, Mr. Mosharraf Hossain highlighted the glorious past of the club and said:
“The club was founded with the vision of building a healthy, beautiful, and disciplined society. Proper waste management is one of the key challenges, and it is our responsibility to step forward. With the support of the local community, we will find sustainable solutions. Our ultimate goal is to ensure a clean, safe, and drug-free society where the new generation can grow both physically and mentally in a healthy environment.”

Guest Speeches
- Sakhawat Hossain Forhad, Founder President of Afzal Hossain Smriti Parishad, assured full support for waste management and maintaining a clean environment in the area. He praised the youth involved in the club and added:
“These young people are doing great work for society. I promise to always stand beside this club. If land is needed for the club’s establishment, I will extend full cooperation. No opposition can stop this club – it was here, and it will remain here.”
- Mojammel Haque Nazrul, a respected social worker, said:
“I fully support the community’s collective decision on waste management. This club has always been dedicated to social development, and I stand with this noble cause. Don’t be disheartened about the land issue – this is a social welfare club, and it will continue to exist.”
- Abdullah Al Hanif, Former President, stated:
“Diganta Krira Chakra is not just a club; it’s an emotion. I have been connected with it since childhood. Many of our past members are now serving in important positions across the country – as secretaries, doctors, police officers, and engineers. Therefore, this club should never be underestimated.”
- Mazharul Haque Raihan, Former General Secretary, urged unity:
“We must all remain united when it comes to the club’s welfare. Regarding waste management, we will adopt a proper plan to ensure cleanliness.”
