To inspire a revival in Mymensingh’s sports arena, sports equipment was distributed among young players and students of 12 clubs and schools by Sakhawat Hossain Forhad, the founding General Secretary of the Afzal Hossain Memorial Council and the South District Jubo Dal’s Secretary for Forest and Environment Affairs.

On Tuesday (August 2) evening, the formal distribution ceremony was held at M Rahman Auditorium in the city’s Kewatkhali area, organized by the Afzal Hossain Memorial Council.

During the event, sports equipment was handed over to the authorities of PDB High School, Railway High School, Kewatkhali High School, Diamond Club, Nabarun Sangha, Onema Krira Chakra, Diganta Krira Chakra, Uttaran Krira Chakra, Ramzan Smriti Sangha, Ramzan Youth Club, Bhai-Bandhu Smriti Sangha, and Sabuj Tarun Club.
The event was attended as the chief guest by Roknuzzaman Sarkar Rokon, Member-Secretary of Mymensingh South District BNP. The session was conducted by Sakhawat Hossain Forhad, and speeches were delivered by sports enthusiasts and political figures.
In his speech, chief guest Roknuzzaman Sarkar said:
“We want every child and young person to regularly take part in exercise and sports. In this regard, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is working tirelessly. In the 31-point program for repairing the state, he has already pledged to develop the sports sector. If BNP forms the government with the people’s mandate in the upcoming national elections, it will work for the advancement of the country’s sports arena.
